- Another Big Day :)
Well, spent the good part of 6 hours at the torch today. Made a lot of beads, quite a few to go with a few odd beads I had and a number of new sets. Can’t wait to do the BIG REVEAL later on tonight 🙂 Getting the beads out of the kiln is the most exciting part for me! Had to do a spot of shopping also, as I found out that I’m approved to do some local Art and Craft Markets!! So preparing for the market that is this weekend is my priority for the next few days. Will be doing a mock setup before I go, and I also need to tag/price all my items!! Really buggered, but I must push on, I need to do a few things tonight….. business cards etc… Looking forward to it, but scared as anything also!! Will be at the Coolangatta Art & Craft Market this weekend!! Approx. 6am – 2pm. Hope to see you there!
- A Cool Change
Today the breeze has kicked up and the temperatures have cooled down a bit. Perfect setting for melting glass!! Will probably attempt a few more Christmas beads today and make a few sets for earrings etc. Patiently waiting for my new glass order to arrive. I made some primary colour beads last week and they deemed very popular with my family, so I’m keen to knock out a few more of these, only problem is I was out of the yellow I was using!! So hopefully the parcel should arrive today.
- Spring Clean!!
So, today I had a MASSIVE spring clean in my studio (which, by the way, could’ve been a granny flat), and now I feel a bit more organised! I sorted all the containers which have stock beads, fiddled with findings and arranged all my glass rods so that now it’s much easier to see what I need! My poor vacuum got a good workout, lots of tiny pieces of glass were picked up! I generally do that most days, but because I shifted a few things around, I found some more! I put all the market type stuff together, so I should be able to grab it all if I have to do a market (will be starting a stall in the not too distant future). Also found quite a number of unfinished items, a lot of these being things I was working on when I went through my bead weaving stage… I still might finish a few that don’t need much else doing to them. I have 3 really nice bead carry bags and I’ve emptied out at least 1 so I can take stuff with me if I wish 🙂 All in all, I feel as though its been a productive day, wish I had made some more beads, but the clutter was impeding any further artistic creativity!! Rewarding myself with a nice, cool Pure Blonde! 🙂
