Just popped a couple (only 4) new products onto the site 🙂 You can find them on the home page under feature products. 3 of them are ON SALE!!! YEAH BABY!!! (For those still looking for post christmas bargains!). I will be attending the Tyalgum Village Markets again starting from the 25th January, 2014! This year, I hope to retain focus around my fun hobby and create new and exciting products while still offering custom made items for those who have something more particular in mind! Remember these pieces of jewellery and the glass beads featured within the jewellery are all HANDMADE and ORIGINAL. No other piece will ever be the same, so you’ll be an individual if you’re wearing one of these gorgeous items!
Was a lovely sunny (but windy) day down in the little town of Tyalgum last Saturday. The new markets only started in June and it was bit slow going to start with. Eventually some market goers drifted past and showed some interest in my jewellery! I had some lovely compliments about my work, particularly when I told them that I had mad all the glass beads from scratch! Made a few sales and told them I would be back again 🙂 This weekend is the Tyalgum Classical Music Festival and I’ll have my stall set up there! Hope to see even more people there on Saturday!!
Off to Coolangatta markets tomorrow, hoping the weather holds out as a storm is predicted. Cars packed and ready to go regardless!! Hope to have a fruitful day as Broadbeach last weekend was very slow!! Alas, I have my awesome new trolley and a lighter table too!! Come and grab some Christmas bargains!!
All setup at Burleigh Heads! Beautiful day for a market!! Sitting right across from the sausage sizzle 🙂 how convenient! Will be here until approximately 3pm QLD time. Come and check it out!! [gmedia id=1]
Well today I embraced my nerves and set up stall at a local hall in the humble town of Tyalgum. Every 3 months, the art and craft co-op put on a stall holders day. I fiddled and fussed with my setup, and with the help of my lovely mother-in-law (to be…. I hope!), I successfully displayed my arts and crafts! It wasn’t a large turnout, but I was happy as I made a few small sales and gained interest from my local art community! I am happy to have heard some very lovely comments about my jewellery & beads, gained insight and ideas and also learning from the experience! Sold 2 x pairs of Christmas earrings, one large owl and a bunch of individual lampwork beads 🙂 I’m a happy little camper! I will be off to Burleigh tomorrow to brave the crowds of Christmas bargain hunters! Can’t wait!
After much deliberation last night and watching the radar closely, I decided to cancel going to Broadbeach markets today. We had a beauty of a storm this morning, but its all died down now. Keeping my fingers crossed for next weekend….. Again!!
So, in my crazy flustered state in order to prepare myself for the markets on Sunday, I made a whole heap of extra jewellery and squeezed in some time to photograph them. Here’s a sneak peek of a pair of Christmas earrings. Check out the gallery for more 🙂
Unfortunately the markets got called off today as it was going to be too windy for the gazebos. Not to worry, I will knuckle down and make more stock and be even more prepared for next weekends markets, held on the Sunday at Broadbeach 🙂 hope the weather is fine then! Good news is that my lovely vegetable garden got a good watering!!
So, it’s supposed to be my first time at the coolangatta art & craft market tomorrow… Only thing is its been raining all day and now I’m a little worried about setting up and having no crowd… I’ve packed the car and I am keeping my fingers crossed that this rain heads out to sea by tomorrow morning!! Everything is all set to go!! Wish me luck!!
Well, spent the good part of 6 hours at the torch today. Made a lot of beads, quite a few to go with a few odd beads I had and a number of new sets. Can’t wait to do the BIG REVEAL later on tonight 🙂 Getting the beads out of the kiln is the most exciting part for me! Had to do a spot of shopping also, as I found out that I’m approved to do some local Art and Craft Markets!! So preparing for the market that is this weekend is my priority for the next few days. Will be doing a mock setup before I go, and I also need to tag/price all my items!! Really buggered, but I must push on, I need to do a few things tonight….. business cards etc… Looking forward to it, but scared as anything also!! Will be at the Coolangatta Art & Craft Market this weekend!! Approx. 6am – 2pm. Hope to see you there!
