Here’s a sneak peek of what I’m working on currently π A little hint, it’s not just an owl! Loving my new Janome 2160 DC machine π took a bit of warming up to, but now we’ve found each other’s groove!!

Been at the sewing machine again and made a few more things for our bub π Very excited to have a few things matching up now π
This cute Bunting and Tag Blanky will match the patchwork (Starflower Block) quilt that I haven’t quite finished yet π
My lovely mother helped me pin the quilt sandwich together today, so it’s ready to be put together!!! Big job, I think I”ll save that for another rainy day!
Looking forward to seeing the finished product though!!

A few orders came in and I’ve done the cutting! Trying to knock a few owls out today! As well as the custom ordered owls, there will be a few extra; so keep your eyes out for them in my shop!!

Some cute little Bears I have in the making, one will be for our bub (of course) and another for family.
The blue/green one is another of those “took me years to finish it” projects!! I think it’s been sitting in my box of knitting stuff for about 8 years…… Feeling motivated and trying to finish some projects!!!! Hopefully you will find the completed photos in the coming weeks!

Love this little tag blanky that I have made to match in with the rainbow theme and the Starflower Block Cot Quilt!!
Was so easy to make, I threw it together in an afternoon; using the cream material featured in the quilt, minky and colourful ribbons π

Β In our big cleanup to make room for one more, I came across a VERY old project!!
I started making these granny squares when I was back in college…. approx 13 years ago π
I had plans on turning them into a massive queen size blanket, which was going to have zigzagged edges. I had even crocheted a number of the squares together with a Black 8 ply acrylic yarn. This poor unfinished project got pushed aside for so long, that I had almost forgotten about it!!
Mum came across it a number of times and often made jokes about how I could never finish anything I started.. LOL
Instantly, I saw the rainbow theme appearing for bub and within the hour I was cutting through all the black and separating the squares once again!
So after much deliberation and unpicking, I decided a lovely cream would be perfect for baby and proceeded to join them all up once again.
So proud of myself for turning my beloved granny squares into something beautiful for our baby π (and actually finishing the project!)
Here’s the final result! I think my Nana would be proud!

I recently found a wonderful tutorial on how to make “star” patchwork squares for quilts. I’d always wanted to try a simple quilt, so I dug around in my stash and found enough fabric to make 12 of these little beauties! I can’t wait to see them all together in what will be a cot blanket for our baby π hoping bub loves the rainbow theme!!
A very big Thankyou to EllisonLane for an easy to follow tutorial π
